As of July 2018, the UK has 162,000 plug-in vehicles, and the London City Council will provide an additional 2,630 charging points in the next fiscal year. London is striving to become a capital city that provides a modern and sustainable environment.
Other cities in the UK are lagging behind. Manchester is currently ranked 18th with a score as low as 1.76, Edinburgh is ranked 31st and 1.1st, and Leeds is 35th with a score of 0.88.
Although Norway has more electric vehicle sales per capita than any other country in the world, Oslo ranks only sixth.
Major cities such as Cape Town, Cairo, Sao Paulo and Seoul ranked bottom with 0 points.
Melissa Lyras, Brand and Communications Manager of Spotahome, said: “If more cities invest in electric vehicle infrastructure, this will help promote market growth, improve air quality, and ultimately improve the health and well-being of the people who live there. London is a A model city that successfully achieves these goals."
The development of global electric vehicles is endless. As a model city of electric vehicle infrastructure, London will further promote the market expansion of electric vehicles and has a broad market.
